Responsibilities
The Student Support Documentation Specialist is responsible for accurately recording, organizing, and managing student support documentation. This includes tracking student progress, maintaining case files, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, and supporting counselors, advisors, and faculty in their efforts to assist students.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
Maintain detailed and confidential records of student support services, including counseling sessions, interventions, and referrals.
Document student progress, concerns, and action plans accurately.
Ensure that all records comply with institutional policies and legal guidelines (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).
Coordination & Communication:
Collaborate with counselors, faculty, and administrators to ensure proper documentation of student concerns and support plans.
Serve as a point of contact for student support documentation inquiries.
Assist in preparing reports for academic advisors, counselors, and student services leadership.
Compliance & Data Management:
Ensure that student records meet compliance standards and institutional policies.
Assist in compiling reports for audits, accreditation processes, and institutional evaluations.
Manage digital and physical filing systems, ensuring security and accessibility.
Support & Reporting:
Generate reports on student support trends, intervention outcomes, and service effectiveness.
Assist in analyzing data to improve student support programs.
Provide administrative support for student support initiatives.
