Job Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities: 
- Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
- Take food and beverage orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about the menu.
- Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and communicate them to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests' tables.
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and take additional orders as needed.
- Prepare and serve specialty dishes or drinks, such as cocktails or desserts, when required.
- Handle payments and process bills accurately, following the restaurant's cash-handling procedures.
- Set and reset tables according to restaurant standards, ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate the flow of food and drinks to tables.
- Provide a high level of customer service by being attentive, responsive, and accommodating to guest needs.
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menu changes, and allergen information.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the health and safety of guests.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the restaurant, including side stations and service areas.
- Attend pre-shift and post-shift meetings to receive and share information about the day's service.
- Uphold the restaurant's brand and reputation through a professional and friendly demeanor.

 Qualifications: 
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is preferred but not required; we welcome enthusiastic candidates looking to start a career in hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling checks.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items and willingness to learn.

 Working Conditions: 
- Waiters/Waitresses work in a restaurant setting, including both indoor and, in some cases, outdoor dining areas.
- This role involves standing, walking, and occasional lifting of trays or objects.
