Job Responsibilities
A Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and storage spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Sanitation:
Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils efficiently.

Equipment & Utensil Maintenance:
Properly store and organize kitchen tools and equipment.
Ensure dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment are used correctly and maintained.

Waste Management & Supplies:
Properly dispose of kitchen waste and ensure garbage areas are clean.
Assist in organizing and storing food supplies to maintain inventory control.


Kitchen Support:
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food prep when required.
Ensure all work areas are ready for food preparation by keeping them clean and stocked.
Qualification & Skills

Skills & Qualifications:
No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
Experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred.
Understanding of basic hygiene and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physically fit to handle standing for long hours and lifting heavy items.
Work Environment & Conditions:
Fast-paced kitchen setting with exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
Requires standing for long hours and handling heavy objects.
Work may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on kitchen operations.
