Job Responsibilities

Financial Recording and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process financial transactions such as invoices, payments, and expense claims.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate regular financial reports to provide management with relevant and timely financial information.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with management and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor budgetary performance and provide analysis and recommendations to support financial planning and control.
  • Identify and report on budget variances, investigating and addressing discrepancies as necessary.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

  • Conduct financial analysis, such as profitability analysis, cost analysis, and financial ratios, to support decision-making processes.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management based on the analysis of financial data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to analyze and evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects or initiatives.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial information for audits and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.

Payroll and Taxation:

  • Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, benefits, and statutory deductions.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings opportunities.

Qualification & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
