The Bike rider is responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods, packages, or food orders to customers or businesses. This role requires excellent navigation skills, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations:
Pick up items, packages, or food orders from designated locations (e.g., restaurants, warehouses, or offices).
Deliver items to customers or businesses within the agreed timeframe.
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in good condition.
Navigation and Route Planning:
Use GPS devices or maps to plan the most efficient routes.
Adapt to traffic conditions and find alternate routes when necessary to ensure timely deliveries.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers in a polite and professional manner.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or issues related to deliveries.
Collect payments (if applicable) and provide receipts.
Safety and Maintenance:
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while riding.
Perform basic maintenance checks on the bike or motorcycle (e.g., tire pressure, brakes, and lights).
Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, addresses, and customer signatures.
Report daily or weekly delivery logs to the supervisor or company.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with dispatchers, restaurant staff, or warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with the team to resolve any delivery-related issues.
