An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations and company policies. They analyze financial data, prepare reports, and assist in budgeting and auditing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Ensure financial records are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
Bookkeeping & Transactions
Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger accounts.
Tax Compliance
Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
Stay updated on tax regulations and advise management on tax-related matters.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor expenses and provide insights to improve financial efficiency.
Auditing & Compliance
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Payroll Processing
Manage payroll calculations and employee salary disbursement.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax deductions.
Financial Analysis
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide recommendations to improve financial health and profitability.
Qualification &
Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred): CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally), MS Excel proficiency.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
Experience: Entry-level to 5+ years of experience, depending on the role.
