Job Responsibilities

The banking professional is responsible for providing financial services to customers, managing accounts, assisting with transactions, and promoting banking products. They ensure excellent customer service while adhering to banking regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:

Assist customers with account inquiries, transactions, and problem resolution.

Provide information about banking products and services (e.g., savings accounts, loans, credit cards, etc.).

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Financial Transactions:

Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.

Handle cash, checks, and other financial instruments accurately.

Balance cash drawers and ensure compliance with bank procedures.

Sales and Marketing:

Promote and sell banking products and services to meet sales targets.

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.

Cross-sell products like insurance, investments, and credit cards.

Account Management:

Open and close customer accounts (e.g., checking, savings, fixed deposits).

Update customer information and maintain accurate records.

Assist with account-related issues, such as fraud detection or account discrepancies.

Loan Processing:

Evaluate loan applications and assess creditworthiness.

Explain loan terms, interest rates, and repayment schedules to customers.

Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulations.

Compliance and Security:

Follow banking regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.

Ensure the security of customer information and bank assets.

Report suspicious activities or transactions.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Prepare reports for management as required.

Assist with branch operations and audits.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues to achieve branch goals.

Provide support to other team members as needed.

Qualification & Skills
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (for entry-level roles).

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (preferred for higher-level roles).

Experience:

Previous experience in banking, customer service, or sales is often preferred.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.

Basic math and computer skills.

Knowledge of banking software and systems.
